Diwali 2020

Before writing anything about Diwali this year adding what I have missed in my last blog, I missed mentioning what I want to add to my photography kit, I need a good stable tripod, though I have 2 already, when stretched to full they shiver in windy conditions, need a heavy one. Also planning to buy a full-frame camera, hopefully, will be able to buy one coming few months. Those just started travel, documentary or landscape photography, a suggestion – do not buy remote, flash or filters, they are a total waste of money, rather Invest in a good lens first.

As mentioned in the last blog posting photos of Diwali this year. Kids were at home this Diwali, and no fireworks this year. Took a few photos of them after pooja, posting here –

Diwali 2017

Tried taking photos of kids in this Diwali, few tips for those who wants to try this šŸ˜€
Tips:
  • Organizing them is impossible, forget about it
  • They are quick and can burn all fireworks in minutes, you can not prevent or control it, you can only be ready to capture the right moment
  • They will not listen because to noise around and their excitement
  • Lighting changes drastically before lighting firework and after light up, better set your camera for one type of lighting, preferably after
  • Choose lens with big aperture, smaller aperture will need higher ISO and results will not be good. (I was using F-1.8)
  • You will need to hop from one place to another for right background and foreground
  • After all consideration taken, your result will not be more than 10%, I took 30 photos and satisfactory were just 3, posting below –
