Friends dragged me to take their photos for the HR 26 Triathlon, Gurugram… posting a few of my choice
Yup! I am still around, getting busier day by day though.
Covered Trek Founder’s Ride in Delhi recently (28 July 2019), got an opportunity to shoot the way I always wanted, posting few photos of that ride.
Though they disrupt traffic a bit, but I have found them photogenic.
Noticed few herds of cattle came all the way from Rajasthan for grazing abundantly available grass in Delhi NCR region.
I was out to eat Daal Fry and Butter Roti in a Dhaba, thought that we both were more or less searching for same opportunity… better food 🙂
Visited Mehrauli today, so much of history scattered around. Yog Maya Temple is said to be more than 5000 years old (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yogmaya_Temple). Then Qutub complex, plenty of Hindu, Jain and Islamic ruins scattered around, Unfortunately Wikipedia couldn’t gather more than few paragraphs for thousands years old history (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qutb_Minar).

I have been to Haridwar and Rishikesh in 2004, got an opportunity to visit Rishikesh again this year. There are plenty of weekend destinations nearby Delhi. In summer we have hill stations and in winter we have Rajasthan.
This time its just right weather for a place not so cool not so hot. So we have decided to go to Rishikesh, lush green surroundings a shallow hill river and little rain sometimes. This is one of the offbeat destinations from the list I have. The resort name is Elephant Brooks Resort 🙂
While crossing the river to resort, one of us slips, it was a fun 😀
It was 4 days continues off, I was planning for it since long, Renuka Ji, Himachal Pradesh which is approximately 280 KM from Delhi was the destination, we have started on 15 Aug and reached there same day, scenic beauty was all around and it was raining all the time. Rain has spoiled our plan for camping so spending a day there we have decided to move to another destination, Kasauli (another hill station of Himachal Pradesh) was my suggestion which was later changed to Amritsar, Punjab. The round trip was approximately 1300 KM and we have spend around 2.5 days in driving and 1.5 days in touring around places. Driving in rain was fun 🙂
At last some randomness, some unpredictability from monotones life 🙂
It was my first visit to Rajasthan and we were in Alwar this weekend. Its closest city of Rajasthan from Delhi (Approx. 180 KM). Sariska tiger reserve is just 40KM from Alwar, it was closed though due to off season (Tourists can get passes between Oct-Mar). Some part of it was still open due to a Hanuman Temple. Rates of RTDC hotel near Sariska tiger reserve was unreasonably high.
